The Tree of Knowledge Research (“TKR”) is a legal research company created by law school graduates with a passion for legal researching and writing. The Tree of Knowledge offers contract law clerk services to solo-practitioners and small law firms. An attorney's time is precious, especially when working in his or her own firm. Aside from actually practicing law, attorneys spend a majority of their time on tasks, including client intake, marketing, bookkeeping, maintaining websites, troubleshooting computer issues, and so on. By contracting with TKR's virtual law clerks, firms can offload time-consuming tasks in order to improve efficiency, allowing their firm to grow.

Ultimately, today’s economic landscape is forcing legal firms to provide their services with fewer workers and at a lower price. Solo-practitioners and small firm attorneys can no longer merely practice law to survive in this competitive legal market; rather, their roles must include adapting to the ever-changing demands of business. TKR offers a strategic advantage of utilizing human capital in a tactical manner that produces returns for both the law practice side of the firm and the business side. This comparative advantage allows TKR’s clients to realize significant market benefits – they can wisely allocate their time to pursue new business while still tackling the work they have already secured.

Our Virtual Law Clerks do not practice law. The owners decided to take an unconventional route after law school because they love to research and write. All the Virtual Law Clerks graduated from accredited U.S. Law Schools. Most concentrated their legal studies on legal research, writing, and drafting; worked on their school's law review; and/or, spent time working as legal assistants, law clerks, and research assistants in firms. The Tree of Knowledge Research understands that work in a small law firm is subject to sudden and dramatic peaks, where extra hands are needed at a short notice. In addition, smaller firms do not always have the capital and resources to hire full time clerks or paralegals on short notice.

TKR provides a solution for these firms, allowing them to outsource energy-intensive work associated with the legal profession. Some of the services TKR provides include litigation support, drafting memos, drafting and reviewing contracts, providing case law research – any legal project to assist busy attorneys. TKR provides these services on an as-needed-basis, tailoring each project to the unique needs of their clients. A client employing TKR’s services can simply review their work-product, make adjustments where necessary, and sign it off.

TKR believes in cultivating relationships with its clients. In an age of technology, which allows more and more communication to be done remotely through e-mail and video conferences, people are becoming more isolated and removed from their networks. Although our Virtual Law Clerks work remotely to decrease over-head costs, our Virtual Law Clerks are available and encourage face-to-face meetings to ensure that all the work being done for their clients is exactly what the client wants. Please give our team a call to discuss your firm’s needs!
